Emirates runs one of the strictest cabin weight limits of any full-service carrier, 7kg for Economy passengers and 10kg for Premium Economy, and enforces it at check-in on busy routes. That makes the weight of the bag itself more important than usual. If you arrive with a roller case and a laptop bag, you may be asked to check one of them.
